Barney L. Mulhern in Janury of 1940 founded Monroe Spring and Brake inc. at 2200 Jackson Street in Monroe, La. In February 17, 1941, He relocated the business to the current location at 105 Breard Street in Monroe, La and ran the business for many years until his retirement in 1982.
Upon the retirement of Barney L. Mulhern in 1982, his son-in-law, Andy Anders with his wife Libby, assumed management of the business until his death in 1991. Having grown up in the business, his son Billy Anders took the management position along beside his mother, Libby Anders, and both are currently active. Sharon Simpson, Billy Anders sister, has also become part of the personal here working along beside Billy and their mother, Libby Anders.
Monroe Spring and Brake inc. is an Automotive, Truck and Trailer parts wholesaler and with careful guidance of three generations, it has grown to occupy three quarters of a city block.
